RE: Tesco looks set to expand (April 24).
I note that Coun John Taylor (Lab) said: "I'm sympathetic to the argument about small shops but Gorse Hill is quite a long way away." Oh no it isn't.
Penhill is quite a long way away, Prospect Hill is quite a long way away, but Gorse Hill is just down the road.
I live in Gorse Hill and if Mr Taylor's passport is in order I will take him on safari to see the little shops that are striving to make a living, because it's obvious, he's never seen them.
As for the loss of the Allied Dunbar Club, this was an absolute disgrace, and should never have been allowed to happen in the first place.
