LUCKY winners in the Chippenham Town Football Club Design a Stadium Competition collected their prizes on Saturday in a special presentation ceremony at Hardenhuish Park.

Children from all over Wiltshire took part in the challenge to design their own dream sports stadium for the town.

The competition was organised in conjunction with the Wiltshire Times, BBC Radio Wiltshire and Wavin Plastics Ltd. Wavin Plastics market services manager Carol Heneghan and Chairman of Chippenham Town FC, Malcolm Lyus presented the prizes to the winners.

Commercial manager at the club Susan Evans said: "Everyone had a wonderful time at the presentation on Saturday and all the prize winners turned out to get their awards and certificates, and many of them stayed to watch the game."

The competition was organised ahead of the club's plans to submit a planning application for a new stadium in Chippenham in the near future, so the club can expand and has a chance to progress up the football leagues.

First prize went to Paul Johnson and Scott Fewings.

Second prize went to sisters, Sarah and Alice Gibbs, and third prize went to Andrew Clifton and Angie Litvak-Watson.
