MALMESBURY have won the Mid-Wilts Youth League's Under 16 Red title after a dramatic final-day win over Melksham.

The sides were deadlocked until an inspired second-half substitution.

James Hutton was introduced and the striker soon struck twice before Chaz Parks and Paul Hudson sealed a 4-0 win and the title.

Devizes Town Youth, Lavington Bandits and Trowbridge Town Youth are all in with a shout of claiming second.

Devizes beat neighbours Lavington 4-3 in midweek, but Lavington returned to second place on Sunday with a convincing 5-1 home victory against Salisbury Juniors.

UNDER 16 BLUE DIVISION

Shaw & Whitley took an early lead in their home game against AFC Corsham but the teams were level at the break with Corsham scoring in the last minute of the first half.

Corsham kept up their momentum from the restart and forged into a 2-1 ahead within two minutes.

A third for Corsham secured the victory and runners-up position in what was their last league fixture of the season.

UNDER 15 RED DIVISION

In a midweek clash, Melksham Park ran out 6-3 home winners against FC Chippenham with goals from Nick Rideout (2), Gary Clemence, Jason Kidd-Stanton and two from man-of-the-match Dave Thompson.

Melksham Park were at home to Devizes Town Youth in another midweek fixture, winning 5-2.

In a mid-table match, Trowbridge Town beat Devizes Town 3-1at home, Adil Bakali, Sam Dawson and Paul Gittins on target for the winners.

UNDER 15 BLUE DIVISION

With many games still to play in this division the race for the title is far from over and several teams still having a realistic chance of winning. Shaw's home game against Warminster Highbury was a one-sided affair with Craig Dixon giving the home side a first-half lead.

Dixon doubled his tally early in the second half before John Blackwell and Dan Checchia (penalty) put the game to rest at 4-0.

At the other end of the table it was honours even between home side Croft and Castle Combe Colts with a final score of 3-3.

Chippenham Town Rangers scuppered the chances of Bemerton Heath finishing runners-up with a narrow home victory.

An early goal from Darren Holcombe in the first half was enough to keep Rangers in the race.

UNDER 13 BLUE DIVISION

In a bottom-of-the-table clash, Westinghouse Youth played host to AFC Corsham, drawing 1-1. Chris Newman scored for Westinghouse and Carl Gibson replied for Corsham.

UNDER 12 RED DIVISION

In a very close game visitors Shaw & Whitley took all three points with a narrow 1-0 win over FC Chippenham.

UNDER 11 DIVISION ONE

AFC Corsham are still in with a chance of at least the runners-up position following their 4-1 home win against Trowbridge Town Youth.

UNDER 11 DIVISION TWO

A midweek clash between home side Trowbridge Wanderers and White Horse Juniors saw the home side earn a 7-1 victory with goals from Daniel Dyer, Edward Clarke (2) and Aaron Filer (4).

FC Chippenham need to take four points from their remaining two games to take this seasons title following their 6-3 away win against Devizes Town Youth.

Devizes saw goals from Jake Walters (2) and Jamie Warren.
