A group of local charities were tonight due to hold an open evening to recruit volunteers across the town and its surrounding area.
The group billed the gathering as an opportunity for the public to meet representatives of charities including Voluntary Action Swindon, Victim Support Wiltshire and the Well Woman Centre.
The meeting was due to take place at the Family Mediation Service, 34 Milton Road, be-tween 4.30pm and 6.30pm. Details on 527285.
