VOLUNTEERS are needed to support parents in Swindon.
The Home Start group helps parents with young children through a network of volunteers, who offer informal support and advice.
Lesley Quirk, who helps run the Milton Road-based organisation, said: "Problems might be caused by post-natal depression, multiple births or because parents are new to the area and are lonely.
"The idea is that the volunteers will become friends with the families.
"Being a volunteer is very rewarding, they get on-going training and we also organise social events."
The group currently has 35 volunteers, who help 105 families per year.
