Are people living on the western edge of Chippenham aware of what is about to land on their doorsteps?

This area has been massively developed and now a huge industrial park another Bumpers Farm in fact is planned between the A4 and the railway line.

This 12.5 hectare site is the last bit of green land below the A4 and is in addition to Methuen Park, the ribbon development on Easton Lane and the wedge of land behind Herman Miller where there will be another restaurant and retail park.

I know I'll be accused of nimbyism since my house will be blighted by this proposal but I am not the only one who will suffer.

The access to this estate will run from the roundabout on the A4 which currently serves Cepen Park South, Sainsburys and Focus. Anyone trying to leave Cepen Park South in the rush hour will know it is impossible to get out on the A350 or the A4

Imagine how much worse it will be if this development goes ahead.

One might ask why another park of this size is being plonked on the western side of Chippenham when there is hardly any employment land to the east.

Workers coming from the Pewsham area will have to come past the Bridge Centre and along the A4 through the railway bridge bottleneck not easy at the best of times.

If you live almost anywhere in Chippenham this park will affect you but the time to complain is short. Protests to the North Wiltshire Plan have to be in by May 15. Please act or write to me in support.
