EXTRA effort was recognised at a police award ceremony on Friday.
Officers Ian Soulsby, Ian Saunders, Tania Hedley, Dave Town-send, James Suter, Lee Poolman and Mark Gale all received honours for hard work and bravery for attending a horrific crash on the A36 in June 2001.
Other awards went to WPC Julie Corbett for her work in the Eliza-beth Hartley murder investigation in May 2001, and Sgt Craig Hardy for managing a prisoner handling team.
