WESTBURY'S teenage singing sensation MiMi could soon be teaming up with Pop Idol Will Young and top boy band Westlife.

The 16-year-old, who recently came third in the Song For Europe contest, is in negotiations to appear in a documentary about young performers, which could feature the top stars.

She is also to appear in a documentary for Meridian television about the work song-writer Simon May has done with children with special needs.

Her involvement in the documentary came about after she visited the Park School at Guildford.

Her manager, Roger Nicholas from Planet 404, said: "During this particular visit MiMi did not have to perform, instead the whole school sang the Song For Europe entry to her instead and afterwards MiMi fielded a barrage of questions about the contest, her school, likes and dislikes, and the normal fan stuff from the pupils and teachers.

"We all had a fantastic time at the Park School and MiMi is delighted to be included in the documentary."

The 16-year-old's first album, Journey, is due to be released at the end of the summer and she will be busy appearing at various venues around the county over the next few months.

Mr Nicholas said: "Every track is representative of an aspect of MiMi's actual journey to become a top professional performer.

"The album reflects the highs and lows, ups and downs and at times the extreme pressures of a young person's bid for success and acceptance within a very difficult industry."

The youngster will be performing at the Wiltshire Media Awards in Swindon on May 22, the Tesco fun day at the Bath University sports ground on June 8, in aid of Cancer Research, the West Wilts Show in Trowbridge on July 24 and Swindon Air Pageant on August 2 and 3.
