WHO on earth ever thought that a museum would make money? Now they think that over a period of time they will be able to get Steam to break even financially. No way.
The only way the building that now houses Steam will stop being a total liability to the Swindon tax payer, this year costing us some £575,000, would be to get rid of all the exhibits, recover the floor, install modern skateboard equipment and reopen it as a skateboard complex for the young of Swindon.
This would not only make money but also, I have no doubt, stop a lot of the current vandalism in town, saving money in that was as well.
So come on Swindon, stop this total waste of our money and do the best for your town.
