BREWSTERS restaurant at Cepen Park, Chippenham, is top of the pots after donating more than 1,000 pieces of crockery to the local Barnardo's branch.

Cuddly mascot, Brewster the Bear, ensured the charity was given silver service when the crockery was collected.

The children's charity was given more than 100 plates, 50 bowls, 24 teapots and 25 milk jugs.

Pauline Thompson, Barnardo's gift manager, said: "We are absoltuely over the moon to have received this donation. It is a welcome boost to our fundraising efforts. The crockery will be sold in our shops across the country to raise money towards the charity's work.

"Ultimately it will contribute to Barnardo's overall vision of helping today's most vulnerable children transform their lives and realise their potential."

Brewster's manager Bernie Heveran said: "We are delighted that the crockery has found a good home. As the ultimate family restaurant we pride ourselves in treating all children like VIPs. Hopefully this donation will play a small part in alleviating the serious issues affecting children."
