BEST-SELLING novelist Joanna Trollope will be presenting the prizes when the Corsley Show marks its 85th anniversary on Bank Holiday Monday.

The famous author, who lives in Gloucestershire, will be guest of honour at the show on Corsley Heath, which is one of the biggest events of its kind in the area.

As usual a free vintage bus service will run between Frome and Warminster dropping visitors at the site, just off the A362.

Events in the main arena start at 12.30pm with a falconry display before Joseph's Amaz-ing Camels are scheduled to appear. At 11.30am expert

auctioneer Dennis Barnard, of Cooper and Tanner, is due to host a grand auction.

The Center Parcs Horse and Pony Show and a variety of horticultural competitions are pencilled into the schedule.

A free Punch and Judy show and ball pond will be put on to keep children entertained while the older youngsters can sample human table football.

Corsley Show secretary Jenny Rutty said: "We look forward to welcoming old and new visitors for a good day out with lots to do and see for all the family."
