CHILDREN at a nursery are to mark the beginning of road safety week by making posters and brushing up on their Green Cross Road with a police officer.
WPC Patty Holt will visit the Leapfrog Day Nursery in St Andrew's Ridge on Monday and tell the children all about how to cross roads safely, and the children will later design and put up road safety posters.
Nursery manager Pauline Young said: "As a nursery, we are very concerned with child safety, and always take opportunities to tell the children how to play safely."
