STAFF and customers at Asda stepped out as part of a national initiative to boost the nation's health with a brisk walk.

The three-mile walk started at the supermarket and led a 20-strong crowd around Trow-bridge, taking in Biss Meadow and Green Lane.

Trowbridge walking forum joined the walk led by press officer David White. He said: "It was good fun and we had several of our members there and some good refreshments thrown in by Asda when we got to the end.

Asda organised the event in conjunction with the Walking the Way to Health Initiative which aims to get more people walking by 2005.
