Eleanor MonksAN Alderholt teenager has proved she has the wow factor, by being voted one of the UK's top 100 'Babes Next Door.'

Eighteen-year-old Eleanor Monks has been selected from 6,000 hopeful 'babes' in a competition being run by leading lads' magazine FHM.

Her photo is featured as a High Street Honey in the current edition of the magazine.

The 5ft 11in beauty is hoping that local votes will propel her to stardom.

Readers are being asked to vote for their number one 'Hot Honey', with the winner scooping £10,000 and becoming a FHM cover girl.

Eleanor is studying beauty therapy at Salisbury College and works part-time as a nail technician at Retreat, Ringwood.

She said: "When the competition was launched, my good friend Lucy urged me to enter.

"It wasn't until I returned from holiday and saw a copy of FHM that I thought I would give it a go.

"My fianc William nominated me. It was very low key - I really didn't think my pictures would be chosen. I am really pleased with myself - it is a bit of an achievement, really."

But Eleanor is not searching for a career in modelling. She said: "If the opportunity arose to become a model, I would be very happy, but this is just a bit of fun really and I love my job."
