Ref. 26722-39ALISON Sealey's friends and family have told her she is mad, but she doesn't care she can't wait for the day later this month when she jumps out of an aeroplane at 12,000ft.

Alison, 26, from Wootton Bassett, is both a member and a helper at Swindon Pathfinders and has already been white water rafting in the Pyrenees, microlighting, abseiling and skiing with the group.

She has congenital adrenal hyperplasia, which means her adrenal gland does not function properly.

She will be joining fellow Patherfinder Andrew Milne, also from Wootton Bassett, in the jump on September 28, to raise cash for the Pathfinders' Water Sport Challenge next year.

"I'm doing it because it is something I've always wanted to do," she said. "I want to do wing walking and bungee jumping too. My friends say I'm crazy!

"We aren't an ordinary group of people. We want to do daredevil activities we like doing scary things."

The jump is being organised with the help of the RAF Sports Parachute Association at their Weston-on-the-Green base in Gloucestershire.

"My dad approached them for us," said Alison. "He's in the RAF, but he does bomb disposal he's scared of heights!"

She added that the all the jumpers appreciated the help of the chief instructors and the staff.
