Ref. 26727-04SHOPPERS in Swindon could have been forgiven for thinking they were in the magical land of Oz.

A tin man, a scarecrow, a lion and a girl called Dorothy all stepped off the Yellow Brick Road to spend the day promoting the up-and-coming Wizard of Oz sing-along at the Wyvern Theatre.

Fans of the classic film will be dressing up and joining in the songs during a one-off screening on Monday, October 13.

Darren Edwards, the Wyvern's marketing manager, said: "We have done similar events for Joseph and the Sound of Music, and they are always really popular."

The fun starts at 7.30pm, and tickets are £13.
