reading about the 4,000 homes to be built east of the A419 made me wonder who would be protecting the interests of the residents in that area.
Highworth and Sevenhampton have three Tory borough councillors who did not vote for the development of the Front Garden one has stated she would prefer the east of Swindon to be developed.
The Tory councillor for Wanborough and the now Tory leader of the council felt the same.
Labour councillors fought to protect Covingham and the east of Swindon against development of that area.
The new Tory councillor for Covingham and Nythe, who lives in the west of the town, was elected because he promised to have the speed bumps removed.
