TEENAGER Wesley McGregor has been arrested for allegedly breaching an interim Anti-Social Behaviour Order issued last week.

McGregor, 16, was arrested in Walsingham Road, Walcot East at midday yesterday, a week after being given the interim ASBO.

McGregor, of Drakes Way, was taken to Westlea police station, where he was awaiting interview as the Evening Advertiser went to press.

The interim ASBO, issued by Swindon magistrates, bans McGregor, from parts of Walcot, including Sussex Square and the parade of shops in Marlow Avenue, where he is alleged to have been causing a nuisance.

He is also subject to a curfew, and must remain at home at night unless with his parents.

Although ASBOs are civil orders, any breach is treated as a criminal offence.

After issuing the interim order, chair of the bench, Barbara Parnell warned McGregor that if he breached the order he could be sent to prison.

The interim order remains in place until October 13, when McGregor will return to court for a trial at which magistrates will decide whether to impose a full ASBO.
