SUPERMARINE can put their league troubles aside for a week by plotting a second-round Dorset & Wilts 1st XV Vase shock for Trowbridge tomorrow.

The South Marston side's form in Dorset & Wilts One has been less than impressive so far this term, with one win from seven leaving them close to the foot of the table.

But that will all be forgotten for at least one afternoon, if they can bring about the downfall of their mid-table Southern Counties South opponents tomorrow afternoon.

Marine do have injury problems however, which could hamper their bid to cause an upset.

In comes Billy Smith at loosehead prop and Nick Moulden, who has played at back row and hooker this season, moves into tight head prop.

Swindon College face a trip into the unknown at the second round stage tomorrow, as they head to Salisbury to tackle pub side Wheatsheaf Cabin Crew.

Elsewhere, the other ties are likely to go on hold with sides caught up in Powergen Junior Vase commitments.

Wootton Bassett must wait until Sherborne fulfill their commitments in the national tournament and the same goes for Corsham, who are involved in a third-round Powergen tie with Oldfield Old Boys.

Corsham, still without skipper and hooker Tim Russell and a number of senior players, host Bath-based Oldfield, runaway leaders of the higher Somerset Premier Division.

Salisbury and Bradford on Avon are Wiltshire's other two survivors in the national Powergen competitions.

Salisbury, bottom of South West Division 2 East, travel to Devon to tackle South West 2 leaders Brixham in a Powergen Intermediate Cup third-round encounter.

Bradford following Minety's ejection for fielding an unregistered player host league rivals Sherborne.

Bath side Old Sulians, reinstated after losing to Minety, host Bletchley from Berks, Bucks & Oxon One.
