POLICE are still trying to trace the last movements of a Swindon man who was found dead in the river at Bradford on Avon last month.

The body of John-Paul Francis, 23, was found submerged in the River Avon underneath the railway bridge by police divers on October 25. He had been reported missing two days earlier after going to a concert at St Margaret's Hall.

Police quizzed rail passengers on Bradford station the week after he disappeared in case they had seen John-Paul or his friends around the station platform the week before.

Their work has been hampered by a lack of any recent photographs of John-Paul, who had grown a beard just before he died.

A spokesman for Wiltshire Police said: "The inquiry is still continuing but we have received no further information and no fresh lines of inquiry are being followed up."

Anyone with information should call Wiltshire Police on (01249) 703444 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
