DEFENDER Tim Tasker scored his 13th goal of the season on Saturday as Biddestone warmed up for tomorrow's crunch match against rivals Trowbridge Town with a 3-1 home victory over Malmesbury Vic Reserves.

The visitors fielded several first team players but goals from Tasker, Ollie McAnninch and Rob Pocock sealed an impressive win.

Manager Gary Skidmore admitted it was not the routine three points they were expecting.

He said: "I brought a couple of youngsters in as I expected it to be a comfortable game but it wasn't to be as they played a lot of first teamers.

"In the end we did really well to get the three points. Stratton have already been caught out by this against Shrewton but it is just something we have to accept in our league."

He also offered special words of praise to defender Tim Tasker, who is Biddestone's top scorer with 13 goals from defence.

"He is just lethal," he said. "To score 13 goals from defence at this stage of the season is a great achievement.

"The encouraging thing at the moment is that we are scoring goals from everywhere now. McAnninch is finding the back of the net now form centre forward.

"We are the league's second top scorers, just one goal behind Trowbridge."

Biddestone travel to Trowbridge tomorrow for the first round of the county cup before going there again the following week for the league encounter.

Tim Tasker, John O'Meara and Simon Gardner are all doubtful for tomorrow's match because of injury.

Cricklade Town strikers Ian Ross and Ben Carter tore apart the Aldbourne defence as they steered their side to a 6-1 win in the Premier Division.

Ross grabbed a hat-trick and Carter hit a brace as the front pairing clinched a superb away win. Paul Kennedy netted a sixth while Dave Levitt hit Aldbourne's consolation.

Two goals from Wayne Presley and one from Steve Dean gave Marlborough Town a 3-0 win over local rivals Pewsey Vale Reserves and Corsham Town Reserves scored all three goals in their 2-1 win over Devizes Reserves.

Justin Park and James Weston scored at the right end while an own goal from Gary Blackwood gave Devizes their goal.

In Junior Division One Wanborough United ran in seven goals in each half as they tore apart Wroughton Reserves.
