RAZZELL VERDICT: The Boyfriend: LINDA Razzell's boyfriend, Greg Worrall, has spoken for the first time about the life he planned to lead with the woman he said it was an honour to have met.

Mr Worrall, 44, was at one time a suspect in the hunt for Linda's killer, but today he spoke of how he would remember her.

"I gave up everything for her in the first place and I was in a similar kind of marriage when we first met," he said. "We found we had a lot in common. Linda and I had reached the stage where we could start planning our lives our future was ahead of us. Up until then the only thing we really had in common was that we were both in bad marriages.

"I have now got to start again the only constant has been work my colleagues have been brilliant."

Mr Worrall recalled fondly Linda's sense of humour and intelligence. She had an honours degree in French from Reading University and was a committed mother of four children.

He said: "A lot of what happened in court Linda would have found funny and even enjoyed she was a reader of crime novels and would have loved some of the exchanges.

"We had been together for 11-months and she was beginning to grow in strength and confidence.

"She was intelligent, witty and it was literally an honour to have known her. I've got one O-level so if someone like Linda can think I'm worth something, then I find that very positive. She had a towering intellect, which Glyn Razzell found threatening, but I found positive and invigorating."

The Honda quality control operative and test driver, of Windrush in Highworth, is still receiving counselling more than 600-days after Linda went missing.

He was dropped off by his home in Linda's L-registered red Ford Escort that morning and remembers her saying 'see you later' as he climbed out.

He said: "The morning of March 19 last year, Linda was beaming because she could see the light at the end of the tunnel. I was in the back of the car and when I got out she said 'see you later'. We could have lived in a tent for I care all she wanted to be was to be safely divorced.

"There is no doubt that Linda is dead and has been got rid of. It's something I haven't said much, but something that I have got to be able to face.

"While the search was going on there was hope, but now it's more like snakes and ladders you get strong and suddenly down you go again. Since they found it was Linda's blood there was no going back really and I'm utterly convinced it was Glyn Razzell who murdered her.

"Not only has he killed the mother of his four children, but he has kidnapped the lives of the aunts who are committed to looking after them.

"The notion she is still alive and well is just not credible. The witnesses have said what they believe, they are not lying, but it's just not credible. Why would Linda give up all that to become a drunk in Weston-super-Mare or a hippy in Carmarthenshire?

"The trial has taken a lot of concentration, but it's something that just had to be done and something we all had to endure for Linda's sake. She would not want us all to be stuck in time, but it would accelerate the healing process if she was found and had a respectful funeral.

"If he is acquitted I will feel disappointed that the agony is going to carry on, but if he is found guilty I would like the sentence to reflect the crime a minimum of 25-years, but I don't think he will survive prison because he just will not fit in.

"I really want to thank the people who have helped they know who they are who have been magnificent with their support. My thanks also go to the police because every single officer involved in Operation Docker, from the family liaison officers to the frogmen who have searched lakes, have been committed to Linda and her children."
