Two women escaped almost unscathed when the car they were travelling in overturned off the A419.
The accident happened yesterday at 2pm when a blue Toyota MR2 was in collision with a blue articulated lorry at the bottom of Blunsdon Hill on the northbound carriageway just before the turning to the tip.
The Toyota MR2 rolled off the carriageway and fire crews cut free the female driver and female passenger. The lane was closed while debris was cleared, causing traffic delays until 4pm. Swindon Police are appealing for witnesses. Anyone with information should call PC Matt Daynes on (01793) 528111.
