Marlborough 2nd defeated their Goatacre counterparts by four wickets in the Stroud and Swindon Wilts and Glos Divison Two.

Goatacre won the toss and elected to bat but openers Mark Atkinson and Nigel Brown were both dismissed for 13 which brought Graham Iles and captain Robin Du Boulay together for a stand of 58.

The captain eventually went for 70 and with a good seventh-wicket partnership of 42 from Michael Du Boulay (28) and Marcus Heath (11) the total finished at 212-6.

Marlborough responded strongly with opening pair Hay (29) and Patel (60) posting 76 in good time but wickets then fell steadily with Mark Atkinson claiming three victims for 32 runs off 12 overs.

Marlborough found themselves reduced to 127-5 but the game swung back their way as Crawford made 57 not out with nine sixes to surpass the total with three overs to spare.

Goatacre 3rd lost their unbeaten Crusader Sports Wilts League record to Beehive Bradford.

Goatacre were crushed at Spye Park, losing by nine wickets with 23 overs of the allotted 45 remaining.

Goatacre set a far from challenging total of 79 with Andy Sandell (21) the only batsmen contributing.

Beehive strolled to victory losing only Lee Hambley bowled by Lang for 28 with skipper Mike Reeves (35) hitting the winning runs.
