WROUGHTON Methodist Church is to celebrate its 125th anniversary with a flower festival over the weekend of June 12 and 13.

The festival will also mark the completion of disabled access and renovation.

On the Saturday, the church will be open for viewing of the flowers and improvements from 11am to 5pm.

On the following day at 10.30am, a service of morning worship will be held, led by the Rev Tony Barnes, and the church will be open for viewing from 1pm to 5pm, with cream teas available at £2 from 3pm.

There will be music at 3pm with soprano Abi Corre and flautist Rachael Jones and, at 6pm, from the Methodist Family Brass.

The brass group will also play during united evening worship, a service which will be led by the Rev Derek Collins from 6.30pm.
