A Resident who has had problems with her rubbish collection has been told to take it to the dump herself.
Claire Bennett, of Boyle Avenue, Lower Compton, was furious when North Wiltshire District Council told her to remove her black bin bags herself.
The dustmen are meant to come on a Thursday but Ms Bennett said they often don't come until Saturday, so the rubbish is left out.
"With the hot weather it has been really bad," she said. "Animals have split the bags open and my neighbour, who has a baby, has nappies on her lawn."
A spokesman for the district council said the problems were due to the changeover to wheeled bins. Some lorries have been converted to collect wheeled bins, which means there is less flexibility when vehicles break down.
The spokesman apologised, but said the problem is likely to continue until the end of July. He said crews were working hard to collect refuse on allocated days or as soon as possible afterwards
Boyle Avenue is due to get wheeled bins in July.
