CHIPPENHAM U13 held on in the Bath League with a narrow 12 run victory at home toBiddestone.

Tom Young (29 not out), James Vince (27) and Steven Bullen (20) took Chippenham to 106-6 in their 20 overs with Paul Walden taking 2-10 in his four overs for Biddestone. Biddestone's reply was led by Martin Sawyer (24) but the visitors finished on 94-7.

Chippenham U15 reached the semi-finals of the Wiltshire Group of the Portman National Club Championship with a comfortable nine wicket victory away to Malmesbury.

Batting first only Jack Ward (29) managed to score freely against the accurate Chippenham attack of Phil Adams, Scott Mackie, Matthew Whitehead and Tim Rowson.

Zurain Qureshi dismissed Ward and took 5 wickets for 9 runs in three overs as Malmesbury stumbled to 65-9 in 20. Rowson (19), Adams (28 not out) and James Vince (12 not out) saw Chippenham home with over six overs to spare. Chippenham play the winners of Corsham and Devizes in the semi-final.
