A COWBOY and Indian display will show off the skill of Western-trained horses at a Sevenhampton Farm this half-term.

Rider Rita Prosser will put her horse Casey Jones through its paces during two half-hour sessions, with full commentary on Friday June 4 at Roves Farm.

There will also be a photography exhibition and information about western riding as well as a real cowboy saddle and bridle on display.

Lynda Thompson, who works on the farm, said: "Anyone particularly interested in horses will get quite an eye-opener.

"For example, most English riders would not dream it could be so easy to get a horse to walk sideways or to be steered whilst going backwards.

"As well as being fun to watch, the demonstration will also be informative."

Lynda will be answering any questions audience members may have.

The riding demonstrations take place at 1pm and 3pm. Roves Farm is a working fun but open to members of the public.

Its visitor Centre is open daily from 10.30am to 5pm. For more information log onto ww.rovesfarm.co.uk or phone 01793 763939.
