Good for the police acting positively, under-age drinking is causing problems all over Swindon.
Do those parents who object to the police pouring their children's drink away realise that, if they condone the drinking, they could also be taken to court as the third party supplying the drink?
The same goes for anyone who buys a drink for an under-age person, including the shop and supermarkets.
Maybe the police should take these parents around with them on patrol so they can see for themselves what this under-age drinking problem is doing.
These parents also condone the behaviour of the few, which makes it bad for the majority of youngsters.
Is it not right that the older folk should not be able to go out in the evening without feeling intimidated by this unsociable behaviour of the few.
Maybe the age for drinking should be raised to 21.
