As London Road in Devizes gets more congested, there has been no shortage of correspondence on the subject of providing a by-pass.
We are used to the idea that it is "better to light a candle than to curse the darkness". Anyhow, one is at a loss to understand what is keeping the powers that be from encouraging motorists bound for Andover and Salisbury from turning off at Windsor Drive instead of heading for the town centre. Roundabouts at opposite ends to Windsor Drive would, of course, have to be provided with relevant road signs, especially at the Le Marchant Barracks end.
An excellent starting point might be to remove that ridiculous dead-end sign from Windsor Drive.
