A COUPLE in their 40s were set on by a gang in a late night attack in Westbury in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A 41-year-old woman suffered a suspected fractured cheekbone and a 49-year-old man was sent to Bath RUH with a suspected double fractured jaw. The attack happened shortly after midnight on May 30 along Station Road.
DC Trevor Abbott, of Warminster CID, said: "Near to the Methodist Church there is a little alleyway where they became involved in a heated row with a group of youths.
"It is alleged that a member of this group assaulted the two and as a result the lady has a suspected fractured cheekbone and the gentleman has been to the Bath RUH and has received treatment for a double fracture to his jaw."
