REALITY television stars made a scene with sporting champions from Warminster Prep School on Monday.

Linda Barker, of reality show Building the Dream, chose the school's head of girls games to umpire a rounders match.

The game, refereed by Minnie Jones, will be screened on ITV tonight.

Chris Jones, headteacher, said: "Linda was absolutely lovely, she signed autographs and posed for photographs, some of which we will be reproducing around the school.

"For the school to be asked is a great honour, a parent connection got us involved. We were on the news last year sending boxes to Basra so it is not the first time Warminster Prep School has been on national television, but it was very enjoyable."

On Building The Dream couples build their ideal home in the hope of winning it in a public vote.

The match umpired by Mrs Jones was between the contestants and villagers from Witham Friary in Somerset.

The school was chosen to referee the game because Witham Friary team captain Maddie Ferrari is the mother of a pupil.

Mr Jones said: "They were filming for around an hour and my wife made sure she was wearing a Warminster Prep School sweater all the time.

"But we know what these television shows are like, it will probably be cut back to about a minute."
