CONGRATULATIONS councillors on approving building work for Trowbridge Town Football Club or was it a case of well we better show willing because we have done nothing yet?

The residents may have genuine complaints which the club and match officials can address but, the point those neighbours are constantly losing is that if the councillors had got off their backsides earlier, Woodmarsh would now be part of history.

All the council want is to have meetings about meetings, talks about talks. They suffer from a terminal illness of red tape and bureaucracy.

The reference in the Wiltshire Times to 'Football club to get new stands' that a move to delay a planning decision until a site had been undertaken is also classic of them being riddled with delaying tactics.

No wonder this so-called county town is so far behind the times.
