A MAN was knocked to the ground and kicked in the head before his mobile phone stolen.
The 21-year-old was walking along York Road near the junction with Beckhampton Street. He was on the phone when he was assaulted.
The attack happened between 11pm and 11.30pm on May 29. Police released details this week.
The man was treated at the Great Western Hospital in Swindon.He suffered bruising, swelling to head and jaw, and grazes to right arm. Police believe there were at least two suspects, but there are no descriptions available. Any witnesses can call 01793 528111.
