The Swindon Lions Club has been celebrating 100 years of the Entente Cordiale with members from their twin club, Les Andelys.
The clubs have been twinned since April 1977 and regular contact and visits take place each year.
At the weekend members of both the French and English Lions clubs gathered together for an evening reception, which Mayor of Swindon Derek Benfield and wife Pamela, pictured left, attended.
The Mayor presented the president of the Les Andelys club with a gift to commemorate the Entente Cordiale.
Earlier in the day French guests had been taken on a tour of Waddesdon Manor, a French-style Rothschild building.
