SO WHAT DO YOU ACTUALLY DO?

I work in the press office of Nationwide our job is to enhance and maintain Nationwide's reputation with journalists and the media. Lots of our time is either spent on the phone to journalists or writing press releases and articles.

WHAT DO YOU HATE MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB AND WHY?

Being stuck in the office all the time sometimes it would be nice to get out and about more often.

DO YOU THINK YOUR COLLEAGUES LIKE YOU?

I hope so! It's important to get on with the people you work with.

WHAT'S THE BEST BIT OF ADVICE YOU HAVE EVER BEEN GIVEN?

Don't date a woman who is taller than you and never trust a man with his cap on backwards.

WHAT'S THE BEST BIT OF GOSSIP YOU HAVE EVER HEARD ABOUT YOURSELF?

I'm not very good at hearing gossip, so if someone was saying something about me, I probably wouldn't know about it.

WHAT JOB DID YOU WANT TO DO WHEN YOU WERE YOUNG AND WHY?

I wanted to be an architect because I liked technical drawing.

IF YOU COULD HAVE A DREAM JOB, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

I think I would probably be a travel reporter because you get to travel the world for free. It wouldn't really be like doing work at all.

WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES?

Cycling, playing golf (badly) and going to the gym.

IN JOB TERMS, WHO OR WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR GREATEST INFLUENCE AND WHY?

Working in Sydney for a year taught me the value of having a good work/life balance. You don't ever hear of anyone on their death-bed who said: "I wish I had worked harder".
