FITNESS fan Andy Garlick is hoping to break his own personal record and also give Motorola's charity a shot in the arm.

Andy, a services product manager at the Groundwell mobile phone company, is taking part in the London triathlon to raise money for Kidscape, Motorola's chosen charity for this year.

The event, which is run to the Olympic distances of a 1,500m swim, 40km cycle and 10km run, is on August 1. Andy, who is a member of Swindon Triathlon Club, is hoping to beat his personal best of 2hrs 19mins.

He said: "I started taking part in triathlons three years ago and I still enjoy the physical and mental test. Not only do they help me remain fit and healthy, but taking part also gives me the opportunity to support fantastic charities such as Kidscape."
