A new interactive, information rich website has been launched by the Motor Cycle Industry Association. The website www.mcia.co.uk has been revamped and updated to provide a wealth of information for consumers as well as the industry. An area dedicated to the public has been created on this easy to navigate site.

The site has information relevant to existing bikers and people who are considering getting involved.

Non-riders can find out about how to pass their test with explanations about regulations, ages, theory test, practical test and links to relevant DSA web pages.

Existing riders will find a wealth of material on getting more out of their bike, looking after their bike and improving their riding.

More adventurous riders will be interested in the sections dedicated to off-road riding and road racing with handy tips on how to get started, where to race and how to secure sponsorship.

Numerous motorcycle related links make the site a must visit for anyone interested in two wheels.

Improving riding skills, safety and preventing bike theft are important issues for all riders. Specific sections on these topics are also included with a range of relevant and interesting links.

The events diary will keep people up to date with the activities of the MCI.

Ride 2 Work Day on July 28 is one important activity that the public can participate in and information packs and fact sheets will be available for specific campaigns.

The International Motorcycle and Scooter Show has a direct link from this site and people will be able to book tickets and find out more about the exciting and varied attractions that will feature at the show which runs from 4th to 14th November 2004.

The most commonly asked question by the public will also be dealt with in an FAQ area and useful links to other organisations feature on the site.

John Hyde, MCI Marketing Manager said: "The site www.mcia.co.uk has been developed to meet the needs of everyone.

"The website is a major source of motorcycling information, and related topics such as safety, government policy and the links to other motorcycling sites provides opportunities for further information to be sourced without trawling through other unknown websites."
