I can only guess that Peter Heaton-Jones is a Welshman, and a bit jealous his team didn't qualify for Euro 2004.
As for people with St George flags hanging out of cars, good on them. It's about time us English were more patriotic.
Our flag may have come from some bored painter in Aberystwyth but it's our flag.
And as for whether St George ever existed, who cares?
This is a time when all Brits should get behind and support the team even the Welsh, Scots and Irish.
Come on England!
