Who are they? . . . police want to trace these two people in connection with a stolen computer from Currys at GreenbridgePOLICE are still searching for thieves who made off with £2,000 worth of cigarettes and a £1,300 laptop computer in two separate incidents four months ago.

They have now released CCTV footage in the hope that someone might recognise the faces.

The thefts happened back in February but Swindon police are still trying to eliminate four men from their inquiries.

The cigarettes were stolen from Bookers Cash and Carry in Elgin Drive, at 2.20pm on Monday, February 23.

Police believe the theft is connected with similar ones in Hanwell and Greenford in London, Northampton and Sunbury.

PC Annette Bishop wants to speak to two men who were in the store shortly beforehand the cigarettes were taken.

One was described as white, in his 50s, 5ft 2ins tall and of a thin build. He had short, greying hair, was clean-shaven and wore glasses. The other man was white, in his 30s, of medium build, 5ft 8ins tall, with short black hair.

In the second incident, a Toshiba M30-304 laptop computer was taken from Curry's Greenbridge store at 12.40pm on Wednesday, February 25.

PC Sean Tregunna, at Swindon central police station, is keen to talk to the two men caught on camera as they entered the store.

Anyone who recognises the men from the stills or has any information about either incident is urged to call the police on 01793 528111 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
