U11 KNOCKOUT CUP: HUNGERFORD Town have had a good start to the season and their league form was carried over into the first round of the cup, running out 7-1 winners over Highworth Town.

Jake Cotrrill (4), Jack Harrison, Ben Preston and Sam Jubb scored for Hungerford, and Matthew Barnes for Highworth.

Shaw had their first win this season, a 10- 2 victory over Blunsdon Colts, with Josh McHugh scoring in the first minute. He then went on to score eight more, with Aaron Sanghera scoring one. Blunsdon replied with one in each half.

Fairford won 4-2 against Wroughton and Ashton Keynes triumphed 4-3 against Eldene Rangers.

A solitary goal from Jones was enough to see Croft Juniors into the next round against Ferndale Rodbourne.

AFC Lydiard were comfortable winners at Fairford,7-0, and Old Town United also hit seven, defeating Lydiard Youth 7-3 at St. Josephs.

Purton edged out Ramsbury by the odd goal in 11.

Marlborough and Penhill Knights shared 10 goals, the Knights eventually winning 6-4.

Highworth Juniors A will also be in the next round after a 6-1 win at Greenmeadow.

In the final tie of the round Wootton Bassett Town defeated Stratton Youth on their own patch 5-3. Bradley Bancroft scored two for Bassett.
