July 9: MORE teams are wanted to compete in the Swindon Cares six-a-side football tournament.

On July 14 entrants will line up at Swindon Town Football Club to try and carry off the prize.

Nick Arkell, of Arkell's brewery, is on the Swindon Cares committee and said: "It's going to be a fun evening.

"It will last about three hours, from 5pm to 8pm, and the games will be 10 minutes each it's straight on and straight off.

"It's all in aid of Swindon Cares which is a great way of raising money for the town."

Each team can have up to eight players, so there will be two substitutes, and each team is guaranteed three games.

So far nine teams have entered and there is room for 16. Entry is £80 a team.

Teams have been invited from companies but the competition is also open to pub sides, or just groups of friends.
