A NORTH Wiltshire computer firm has been sold for almost half a million pounds. Computa-Friendly, of Lacock, has provided computer training and IT consultancy for the past 15 years.

This week the ILX Group announced a successful £480,000 takeover bid had been accepted.

Chief executive Ken Scott, originally from Chippenham, said: "This deal represents a further building block in our strategy to develop ILX Group into a leading education and training company.

"The classroom training capability and experience of Computa-Friendly provides balance to the distance learning predominant in other parts of the group."

The company is now in the ILX Group umbrella and founder Mark Butler will remain managing director.
