Jonathan BatesAWARD winning teenage hero Jonathan Bates has won more praise for helping a stricken pensioner on Westbury's Oldfield Park estate.
Jonathan, 15, regularly shopped and gardened for Beryl Kirkham and was helping her move house when he heard a cry for help from an elderly neighbour.
Mrs Kirkham said: "He was carrying my garden table out through my front door when he heard the man shouting. He had fallen in his bathroom and couldn't move.
"Jonathan called the ambulance and they got him out. He is such a support for people on the estate."
Jonathan won the youth category in this year's People of Wiltshire Awards for his work looking after people like Mrs Kirkham.
She said this latest incident last month was typical of his selfless character.
