DAVE Percival has set his sights on topping the 100 goal mark for Trowbridge by the end of the season after scoring another double on Saturday.

The prolific striker has already bagged 15 goals in the first ten games of the campaign, including five consecutive braces, to take his total career tally to 64 for the Hellenic League club.

He is already the new club's all time leading scorer, having overtaken the previous holder and boss Neil Kirkpatrick last season, and is now aiming for another 36 before the end of the campaign.

Percival, 20, said: "It would be great if I could get 100 goals for Trowbridge by the end of the season. The season has gone better than I could have expected at the moment so it is a possibility.

"I got 26 goals in the Wiltshire League last season and so if I could top the 50 mark in a league higher it would be a great achievement. The most important thing is to try and help the team do well and to keep us at the top of the table. If I can score as many goals as I would like then it will help us in our push for promotion."

Trowbridge got off to the perfect start as Matt Cooper slid home his first goal for the club from a Percival pass.

Michael Barnes should have doubled the lead on 12 minutes following another pass from Percival but he miscontrolled the ball in front of goal and the chance was gone.

Justin Ford blazed over the bar for the visitors on 21 minutes before Adam Nunn was denied extending Trowbridge's lead by a good save from goalkeeper Aaron Armstrong.

On the half hour mark Percival made it 2-0 with a brilliant solo run and effort to show why he is the league's top scorer.

Quarry hit the cross bar just before the break but a minute after half time the game was made safe as Nunn finished off a pass from Percival to make it 3-0.

On 55 minutes Percival scored the fourth from the penalty spot after Nunn had been brought down in the area.

Trowbridge then lost their way a little and as Quarry put in some heavy tackles they pulled two goals back through Colin Ryan and David Jennings.
