THE parents of murdered backpacker Mark Lemetti have set up a fund to help with the poverty their son saw on his travels.
The 24-year-old traveller wrote to his parents Roland and Barbara throughout his trip, telling them of the appalling conditions he saw.
Mr Lemetti said: "Mark kept in touch during his travels by emails and the poverty among Cambodian children made a deep impression on him.
"Consequently Mark's Cambodian Children's Fund has been opened with Mark's remaining assets."
Mr Lemetti was backpacking across Asia when he was killed in Southern Thailand.
A Pakistani tour guide has been arrested and charged with his murder.
In an email to his parents he wrote: "I gave blood at Siem Reap Children's Hospital just because the poverty and disease amongst children is so overwhelming.
"Dengue fever and tuberculosis has spread to epidemic proportions in many provinces."
All donations for the fund set up in memory of Mark Lemetti can be made through HSBC bank at 23 Market Place in Warminster.
