28763/1CHARRED remains of Brighton's famous West Pier are included in a seaside-themed exhibition at a new Bradford on Avon arts venue.
Pieces of the pier's charred decking have been used to create pieces of art now on display at Ale & Porter Arts, in Silver Street.
The exhibition Happy Times And The Seaside Machine - an exhibition of work by artist Robert Race drew in the crowds at the venue's launch on Saturday.
Fiona Haser, who owns the venue, said: "There were at least 150 people here. It was so packed most people have come back to have a proper look at the exhibits."
At the private view on Friday a jazz trio, including former St Laurence School teacher Mike Daniels, played seaside music.
Ms Haser said: "It's all interactive. You can come in and play with the exhibits."
The exhibition, which is free, is open from Tuesday to Saturday until November 6.
