A WOOTTON Bassett man was jailed for three months after he admitted conspiring to pervert the course of justice in a speeding scam.
Andrew Freeston, 49, was a customer of Clifford Mennell, who was jailed for 33 months yesterday for masterminding the scheme.
Mennell, 40, of Tavistock, Devon, sold false names and addresses which allowed drivers across the country to speed without being caught by police camera vans at the roadside.
Freeston admitted one count of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice in connection with an incident in the Dumfries and Galloway area.
Police uncovered Mennell's scam while investigating a crash in which two people died.
