15976A PRE-SCHOOL near Trowbridge has launched a fundraising campaign to buy the computer it needs to meet national curriculum guidelines.
Holt Pre-School is hoping to raise at least £200 to buy a laptop for the school's 15 children to practice on.
Pre-school leader Sally Geary said: "The foundation stage of the national curriculum asks us to do information technology with the children, but because we are such a small pre-school we don't have a computer."
The first event organised to try and help raise the funds was a nearly new sale at the village hall on Saturday but the amount raised has yet to be confirmed.
A Christmas sale, due to take place on December 4, is also planned.
The pre-school, which can take up to 26 children, between three and five, has 15 children on the books.
People who want to take goods to sell on Saturday can call Sally Geary on (01225) 782782.
