Tomorrow sees the launch of Black History Month in Swindon.
Acting chairman Tom Harris, 69, right, a storyteller, said: "We believe that black history is severely neglected in the educational system in Britain."
Tomorrow between 10am and 5pm the Broadgreen Centre, in Salisbury Street, will be the venue for activities ranging from dance, drumming and a fashion show to speakers on subjects such as the roles of black people in education and the police.
Everyone is welcome to attend the event, which is free.
